အကပ် | a-kut - (1) residue ([UK] rez.ɪ.dʒuː [US]ˈrez.ə.duː 🔊). The word ကပ် | kut implies that the residue 'sticks' (adhere) to the surface. For example, အိုးကပ် | o3 gut means the remnant of the food sticking to the cooking pot after scooping it out, forming a crust or a layer. Such a layer will be seen when cooking eggplant dish in cooking method known as ခရမ်းသီးအိုးကပ်ချက် | kha1-yan3-dthi3 o3-gut chet.
