Located approximately two hour drive from Heho airport close to Pindaya Caves. The hotel is at the entrance of Pindaya town surrounded by historic and magnificent banyan trees facing Ponetaloke Lake. The hotel was build in 1994, and its architecture reflects that of traditional style in Pindaya area.

Pindaya is about 3,880 feet above the sea level, and is surrounded by the hills of Southern Shan State.
During the Cool Season from November to February, the weather at night can be quite cold in Pindaya. It is hot in the Summer during the day time but temperature could drop at night.
Pindaya limestone caves are known for their nearly 7,000 Buddha images inside.
According to the legend, a local hero in the old days had rescued a beautiful princess from the hand of a spider, and hence the name "Pindaya", which was evolved from the Burmese word "Pinguya" meaning "having captured the spider."
Tourists visit Pindaya to see Pindaya Caves at Shwe U Min Pagoda. The three caves are connected together high on the cliff of a hill overlooking the lake. The longest cave stretches about 490 feet and filled with numerous Buddha images of all sizes and shapes carved from wood, stone, marble and bronze. There are believed to be over 8,000 images in the caves.
Every year in the Burmese month of Tabaung (February to March), the Pindaya Caves come alive with festivals where tens of thousands of pilgrims visit the Pagoda.
The other item of interest in Pindaya is the cottage industry making traditional paper umbrellas. Hills around Pindaya are also popular with tourists who enjoy outdoors and trekking.
